About
Dr Gokul Tamilarasan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with extensive clinical and research experience. He trained at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) and Concord Repatriation General Hospital (CRGH), where he completed his advanced training in gastroenterology.
He later undertook an international clinical research fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, focusing on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and continues this work as a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. Dr Tamilarasan also holds honorary clinical and research roles at RPAH and CRGH and consults from Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
Known for his personable approach, Dr Tamilarasan values clear communication and takes the time to listen to his patients, ensuring they feel supported and well-informed throughout their care.
